PASTOR MICHAEL BAILEY
Pastor Michael Bailey was born September 8th, 1957 and raised on the west side of the city of Chicago where he received his religious training in the Prince of Peace Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Louis Rawls.
There he served as organist, junior deacon and delegate of the Primitive Baptist National Sunday School organization, and youth congress. At the age of 21, he was filled with the Holy Ghost and called to ministry and served until 1978. In 1979, he moved his membership to the Way of Truth Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Pastor D. Pritchett. There Pastor Bailey served as Co-pastor and Sunday school superintendent, and organized outreach ministries including: street, prison, and nursing homes.
Pastor Bailey worked with Chaplain/Mother Consuela York in the Cook County Correction Center from 1984-1986, receiving valuable ministry training while bringing the hope of the gospel to inmates. Pastor Bailey also worked with other chaplains providing comfort to inmates in Joliet, Statesville, Menards and Galesburg correctional centers. During this time, he also organized and provided a transportation service to and from these facilities for the visiting families of the inmates.
In 1991, he joined the A.R.M., Church on the Rock, under the leadership of the late Dr. Angie Ray. As an ordained Elder, he received training in the following: deliverance, spiritual warfare, intercessory prayer, and evangelism. During 1990-1992 he served as a provisional teacher at Samuel Barnes Christian Academy, instructing students in vocational academia. In addition to working with many of the church auxiliaries, his broad responsibility as an elder also included serving in a pastoral capacity.
Pastor Bailey started prayer meetings in his home along with wife Tonia, and others. In April of 2006, Grace to Glory Ministries was founded. In a short period of time, the church has experienced a supernatural outpouring of God’s presence, along with exponential growth. In March of 2007 Pastor Bailey received Ordination credential from Universal Christian Ministers Counsel, and serves as a member in the Ministers Association of South Holland, IL.
In March 2011, Pastor Bailey received Chaplaincy Credentials from the International Federation of Christian Chaplains with over 1000 chaplains in 35 country’s IFCC Credential badge #2901. Pastor Bailey also serves as spiritual counsel on the board of the Harris Educational Center, and also provides spiritual comfort to families at the court house, scenes of domestic violence, and funeral homes.
In addition, Pastor Bailey serves as an on call chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital of Downers Grove IL, where he is enrolled in their 400 hour CPE (clinical pastoral education) program. He serves by providing pastoral comfort and service to individuals and families in hospital departments including: Emergency, ICU, Neo Natal, Behavioral Health, and Hospice Care.
Pastor Bailey is a consecrated vessel revered for his compassion, he’s known for his unique anointing, and bold ministry style. With over 40 years in ministry, he has penned several instructional teaching aids and video on the internet, and provides a weekly morning prayer and online bible study.
In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, his ministry is in great demand as a result of his evangelistic crusades and deliverance workshops.
Pastor Bailey and his wife Tonia have 3 children and reside in the south suburbs of Chicago, IL.
